Pak Andak & Mak Andak

The two elderly in the photo are Pak Andak and his wife, Mak Andak. Pak Andak is the elder brother to my arwah MIL.

During last 14th June, his sons brought him to KL (he lives in Singapore BTW), to fulfill his wish to visit his arwah sister and BIL’s graves (that would be my FIL and MIL)..

It has been years that we seen him last.  His health is not superb anymore nowadays.  He is slowly starts to forget things that happened around him.  He repeats himself and kept on asking questions that happened so long ago in our history but seemingly somehow fresh in his mind.

It breaks my heart to see him like that…  You see, when I got married 24 years ago to this man (half Singaporean), Pak Andak was one of the first many relatives who happily welcomed me to this new family.  He would travel down on almost all my anak-anak kenduri cukul jambul and on other occasions too.  He would often visit during raya and when we came down to Singapore to visit, it is a MUST to stop at his Yishun place to just eat his famous curry and roti prata.

He laughs a lot.  Not to mention jokes.  He is always happy and jovial.  Always cracking some stories and jokes.

…..But seeing him today – hardly recalling all those occasions that I mentioned above and even having a tough time remembering me and the kids – it just hit me deep 😦   , and he kept on saying that he did not know that my MIL and FIL had passed away…

Oh Pak Andak…   We missed the old you 😦  and your beautiful citation of surah-surah Al Quran…

You – who always teasing me and telling me stuff dulu.

Allah the Al-Mighty is reminding us something here…   – That nothing is permanent here in this duniya.  All will leave us including our own mind.  Sigh…

We wish you good health and long live, Pak Andak !  Only Him knows  things that we don’t…

Hanging tough Pak Andak, InsyaAllah we see you Raya yeah?.

Sarah & Shota

We hosted a buka puasa for our Beradiks and some relatives from Singapore last 14 June 2017.

Meet Shota, a Japanese Muslim who also joined us for the Iftar that day, Alhamdulillah.

Talking to this Japanese boy about Islam, who speaks almost fluent Bahasa Melayu makes me feel sangat ‘kerdil’ 😦   His vast  knowledge about my deen and Al-Quran, is beyond my expectation as he only became a Muslim less than 3 years ago !

Shota is into studying Arabic here in Malaysia, InsyaAllah.

Our doa is that for you to have a blessed stay here in Malaysia, and may Allah SWT ease your soulful journey, InsyaAllah.  Hope to see you again, soon.

Zalora Purchase for my girls #RayaMestiJadi :)

I am bit old fashioned when it comes to shopping.  I want my money to worth what it should – afterall I worked my sweat out for moneyyy (well, who does not kan?)  🙂

Kat office tuh masyaAllah, rancak sungguh semua orang bershopping online.  Every other day when I was at my Recep, there will be deliveries from all those leading online businesses.

So mak pun teringat la nak try.  I had eventually tried in the past, but not a regular hehe.

So, mak belek la #Zalora.  Eh kasut dia cantik-cantik la and on sale for Raya!

So mak sudah terjebak huhu.

I bought 3 pairs for my girls.  Its just too nice and I am sure Sarah and Syaza would love it.

Nasib baik saiznya, I got it right too.  Fuhh.  Look here… Nice kan… (Confirm Raya lah tahun nih kihkih)

Ramadhan’s Random – some sad story

Salam

I met this elderly couple sometime back.  The husband probably is 75 and the wife, probably 70 or 65.

As we sat in that Kenduri and chatted, I came to understand that its a second marriage to both.  They both are still healthy and seemingly happy.  Sometimes, the husband would ask some questions, and the wife will answer calmly.  They seem to care for each other a lot, and yeah, the love too.

I asked the wife, if its not too much to ask, what happened to her first marriage.  She paused for abit and said, both of them failed in their first marriage at later age of their life.  She was 46 and Pakcik was 52 when both of them remarried.   They started new life afresh and lasted till she is now 65 and Pakcik is 72.  They have no children together in their new marriage but have a few in the previous ones.

Then, I asked Pakcik about his first wife if he can still remembers her.  Well, it has been a long 20 years and he is indeed old 🙂 –  He paused for a moment too and replied that she eventually had passed away few years ago due to some illness.  Innalilahi wainna ilai hi ro jiun…

The he continued saying that he remembered her always as she was the mother to the only 6 children that he ever has in this life..

He paused again and continue to talk about some other things with me and his current wife.

……

Life is so fragile kan?.  Nothing actually stays together except death.  Itu yang pasti.

When I reflect to my life currently.  Then I realized that one day that’s all it matters and worth, no matter how much I love it or wanting it.

To my husband,  I will be remembered just as the mother to his children..

To my children, I am just their mother who brought them to this world…

To my friends, I used to be their friends who had passed on…

Sigh.

Okay some ramblings for Ramadhan probably.  I better pen off now, before I had some tears came rolling down my chubby cheek… 😦
