Better Late Then Never – 27 October 2007

🙂 my favourite ‘saying’ for the day.

To my dearest singaporean cousin, Linda who turns  &?%#$ ;   😉 on 27 October 2007, Kak lang wish you the coolest birthday ever eh.

😦 felt terrible about the whole ‘forget’ thing really.  I do not want to spare any excuse but to apologize. There should not be any reason for it.

But thing is, whoever that ever come up with this saying,  ..better late then never?? … 😀 i want to thank that author for I can pinjam that quote for a moment to render to my Linda so that she knows while wishing her the happiest birthday with Allah blessings for a wonderful life ahead, also in a way I wanted to say… let it be late, then never it is 😀

Take care of yourself kay.

A married couple was lying in bed one night. The wife is all curled up, ready to go to sleep, as the husband turns his bed lamp on to read a book.As he’s reading, he periodically reaches over to his wife, and fondles her “special area.” He does this a few times, but only for very short intervals before turning back to read his bobk.

The wife gradually becomes more and more aroused…. and, assuming that her husband is seeking some encouragement, she gets up and starts stripping right in front of him.The husband is confused and asks, “Why are you taking off your clothes?”

His wife replies, “You were rubbing me downtown…. I thought it was foreplay.”The husband says, “No, not at all”.

His wife asks angrily, “Well, then what the hell were you doing?”Seconds before his death, he says… “I was just wetting my fingers so I could turn the pages.”

🙂 what a B#$@L&

Choosing A Wife

A man wanted to get married. He was having trouble choosing among three likely candidates. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.

The first does a total make-over.She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, new make-up and buys several new outfits, then dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much. The man was impressed.

The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so muchAgain, the man is impressed.

The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5,000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.

Obviously, the man was impressed.

The man thought for a long timeabout what each woman had done

with the money he’d given her.

Then, he married the one with the biggest boobs

Cracking My Head

Its so bizzare whenever I exhausted myself yet had this joy and good feeling inside.

I cooked more then nine dishes for my small do raya yesterday. Tired big big time, yet felt so excited and happy to receive the guests 🙂

I cooked nasi lemak ayam berempah as my main dish, alongside with Lontong and Spaghetti.

Just to share this, my spaghetti was a hit among the main dishes 😀  And, speaking of the, I just want to mention this for sharing purposes. I have tried cooking spaghetti using both minced chicken and minced beef. Somehow, after trying both, I usually go for chicken, because to me, I always thought chicken is always healthier and I really mind the smell of minced beef in spaghetti. Hmmm.

So anyway, as for yesterday’s spaghetti, while deciding on whether to use chicken or beef, a friend cracked my head.

A friend said, “well, try to imagine using dalam karipap, inti kacang. Best tak?”

And I did not say anything, but did think about it.

And, it did crack my head thinking, how lousy would that karipap tastes with inti kacang??? So tak kena.

So I said to myself, “yeah la… what on earth was I thinking to use chicken for my spaghetti?”.

So, beef it was yesterday and it was a sold out!!

Bak kata my girls, ” Eh best aa spaghetti ibu”. and Sarah and Syaza had like almost 3 rounds of them 🙂

Thank you eh for cracking my head.  I guess some people just wont listen unless you crack their head with something ‘cracky’ and hey, it works.

I will share some photos later of my small raya open house yesterday.

Thank you for reading.

I m tired big time :)

I remembered only last year in the same very month of the Holy Syawal, I did a open house for raya and invited almost everybody that I know. I remembered cooking nasi tomato, mee hoon sup  tulang, rendang, nasi himpit, dessert and bla bla bla.

And this year at exactly  only a year after that, I am doing it again. Only, this time round I m doing in in a smaller scale, inviting people in group. And, hear this. I M TIRED… SO BIG TIME 🙂   hehehe

Hmmm…. malam tadi, while i was trying to fall asleep, i had this in mind, why eh… i m so like tired like this?

Then, i said to myself… you must be getting older hani…

ha ha ha,  me??? getting older????  No!!!!!! 🙂

ok people, its 6.20 am in the morning. I m off to cook. InsyaAllah by 12 noon, everything need to be ready.

Lets Move On

Morning all

Past few days has been a very sad time. Whilst, we are still in the month of Syawal, let us all be optimistic for a coming brighter days.

Allahyarham Professor Dr Iskandar bin Abdullah telah selamat disemadikan petang semalam in a such lovely and fine weather at about 5.45 pm 😦

He was indeed loved by so many people who came to pay their last respect yesterday.

As for me and I am sure everyone else, life shall presume. Never a moment, we forget those who had left us. But lets live up the spirit and strive to become a better individual and a better muslim  – to fill up this tiny and short sojurn of ours.

Dealing with death was never easy. Requires a lot of patience and ‘keredhaan’. We cried, we mourned, but not far from there, we need to get up on our feet again and to move on…

As for me, I will have another busy weekend cooking and expecting raya guests. And raya still will be raya eh.
